Getting Started

Hello my fellow IAP bloggers! We have all been talking about losing this pregnancy weight once and for all, so let's motivate each other and do it together!

I am starting this journey at 170 lbs (size 10-12) I am going to weigh myself every Friday and blog about it. I will also blog during the week about my struggles/successes! Who's with me!

  1. I saw your invitation on I-am-pregnant 7 months baby page, and it sounds good. I've lost a lot of my baby weight, but still struggling with the last few pounds!

  2. Yayee Judi! Glad to have you. I am going to start my official "diet" on Monday. I am going to spend the weekend deciding what I want to do to lose it...tredy weight loss program like weight watchers online or south beach, or just trying to do it on my own by counting calories??? Hmmm...decisions, decisions. I have to figure something out! I had lost all my baby weight by the time he was 2 mos old. Then I had my gallbladder out and bam...20 lbs back on!

  3. This is a great idea! I saw your invite on the 2 months page! I actually lost 20 lbs in my first trimester and then only gained back 17. Then after I had my son I lost that 17 and a bit more, but I still have so much weight to lose just so I can be healthier when I get pregnant with Baby #2. I plan on starting on Monday with calorie counting and I also got out my Taebo videos so I will start those again! I lost weight this way a couple years ago so I'm hoping it will work again!

  4. TX for the invite :) Def easier to get motivated when you have others who can relate to the ups and downs in trying to loose weight :) I am almost 142 eewww thats scary. My Metab dropped alot in my late 30's so it has been harder to loose. (Was always a 1-12 til my mid 30's) I am a stress & bordom eater. I am currently about 145 lbs but a size 14.5. Some 14's fit some dont. My tummy is my problem area, I always look 4-5 months preggers. Two sections, 3 kids to blame for that. :( While I do like walking and occasional work outs at home excersizing religiously is hard for me, esp if it means doing crunches and sit ups. My goal is to be a loose fitting 14 with some room to move and maybe even a 12. That would mean about 10 lbs off. Weighing about 135ish. Weight loss dust to all!

I'm happy you stop by as I'm looking for motivation. I have 15 pounds to loose to go back to my pre pregnancies weight..I know..I haven't been a good girl and with my breast full of milk I don't feel good doing aerobic dance..but I do walk.

  7. Hi Heather! I saw your invite on the 2 months page on IAP website! Thanks for the invite. I am a stay at home mommy, and will be until Mason is a year old. I find it hard to get motivated and/or stay focused to lose the baby pounds. I feel so down about myself and am looking forward to this blog!! We can all stick together and push each other to go through with it.

  8. I am so glad you ladies have come! I am 100x more motivated already! I have been doing some research, and I think I might be starting Weight Watchers online (starting Monday. I looked up a bunch of different diets, and this one seems like it will be the easiest to follow...well, not easy, but easy in a sense that I can eat the same food as my husband just smaller portions. I did Body for Life a while back. It worked, but my husband was miserable because we ate differently and I had to make 2 dinners!

  9. I have a friend that is currently doing Weight Watchers. She has been very successful. There is a website that lists all the generic food points so you don't have to pay money to get them. As for restaurants there might me a website with those out there somewhere too. My friend said her point limit per day is 25, but I'm sure there is somewhere to look up how many points you need. She said her diet is heavy in veggies because they are 0 points. Here is the link to the page with the points if anyone is interested.
